The confirmed pitch

KYORA is a 2D open-world survival-crafting sandbox from Pugstorm and Chucklefish. Its defining feature is a world built from individual pixels that players can mine, shape, carry, rebuild, and explode. Official material combines that terrain system with procedural exploration, bases, weapons and armour, cooking, farming, online co-op, and bosses called Heralds.

The planned progression is exploratory rather than quest-list driven. Players begin with very little, gather early resources, open crafting options, improve gear, prepare meals, explore biomes, and defeat bosses while following a gentle story and an overarching goal.

What remains unknown

Pugstorm has not announced a release date, price, public demo, console version, crossplay, dedicated servers, mod support, Steam Deck rating, or the final Early Access content list. Exact recipes, damage numbers, drop rates, enemy names, and boss names are also unavailable without a public build.

Repeated official pillars

The store page and development posts repeatedly describe pixel terraforming, co-op, crafting, building, biome exploration, and boss-led progression. The glider, Slingshrooms, and Gust Beetles are separately identified as alpha experiments that may change or be removed.
